We are on to shelf two, people! It’s about time — Buddha was getting a little lonely with nothing to hold up.

This bookshelf is in my bedroom, and sometimes when I’m trying to extend the pre-work morning as long as I possibly can, I look at what I’ve read so far. So I wanted to take this opportunity and say thanks for following along. I hope you’ve learned something!

Also, if you happen to be in New York, the National Book Critics Circle is announcing the winners of their 2007 book awards on Thursday at the New School University’s Tishman Auditorium. Details here (and, like the event I hosted in Philadelphia, it’s free). I’ll be there, and at the post-event reception, too (though that’s not free). Hope to see you there!
